Actually I don't see why not - if it helps re-unite the owner with their 
card. The law on this is a lot looser than you might think. The only 
real problem, so long as the photos were taken in a public space, is 
that the images are the copyright of the photographer, and I don't think 
they'll be worried if they get their card back.

Only you know the camera and model number so why not pick a few photos 
with people in, use your favourite tool to crop and re-size (which will 
trash the EXIF data) and then post them to the Web.

Or mail them to me and I will, but tell me first if you're going to do 
that or the spam filter will eat them.
