I know this is a bit late (I didn't read the list over the weekend),  
but isn't auto-generating a message like this just as bad as a static  
form letter in terms of being easily dismissed by the recipients? In  
fact, it could be argues that it's even worse, as it makes the  
genuine self-composed messages difficult to distinguish from the form  
responses.

(Sorry that my first post to the list on this subject is a negative  
one - I feel strongly about the park closure, and fully support the  
campaign. Other than the above point, I think you're doing a great  
job so far, and I hope to get more involved soon.)
