Unnecessarily negative? 

I have very little time for someone who refuses to work with others
because there isn't enough self-publicity in it for THEM. That's not
what I expect my elected representative to do. 

It would have been more effective if Gerda had grabbed a clipboard and
helped canvass support from people outside Milton who use the country
park to make SCDC see it's not a waste of money.  But that would have
involved some work and she couldn't have claimed ALL the credit.
