Is it the power of milton-chat? No cars for sale on the grass in front of
the kebab van this evening, for the first time in a while. Will they be back
by tomorrow?

I saw the trade plates in the window of one the other day, but I think it
had real plates on the outside as well. Still suggests maybe a mamber of the
trade trying to get away with using our verge as a showroom.

As for the 'no tax' (which I also failed to notice myself), I would think it
a good use of the 'ecops' scheme to send an email about such non-urgent
things to our local police officers. I talked to them when they were doing
their 'road show' in Tesco carpark the other day, and specifically asked
whether they got overwhelmed with fairly pointless emails - they said there
was a bit of a tendency for people to try to turn it into a 'chat room', but
seemed quite happy to be sent proper useful information that way. They've
always replied after a while to anything I've sent.
