When Paul says starting it - it's by no means clear that they intend to do
anything immediately. The mezzanine at Bar Hill Tesco was installed at the
same time as the original girders went in here, and we were told at the
planning committee that Tesco were doing this all over the country - putting
in a little bit of mezzanine construction to reserve the right to complete
it once the law had changed.
The manager of Tesco Milton has not been told of any plans to put in more
shopping floorspace - the last he heard (quite a while ago now) was that
head office were thinking about moving the store to outside the village ...
(but they wouldn't normally get permission in the Green Belt).
