That's how it used to be before we bullied them into getting it sorted. 
It was a team effort by all your local councillors: district, county and 
parish, plus some from City councillors.

I just had an AW man turn up on the doorstep to sort out "my" problem. I 
politely explained it was the village's problem. He said he wasn't 
surprised: he had several calls to make in the village. He's going to go 
and talk to the works manager.
