I've had much the same problems.  You also need to get everyone in the  
house to stay still once the aerial is in place.  Ours is one of the  
cheapest DAB radios, though, so we may just be getting what we paid  
for.  Oddly, BBC 2 seems easier to pick up than BBC Cambridgeshire,  
which I didn't think would happen with DAB.
