*Not In My Neighbourhood*

Is an annual event and the Police will be holding an open surgery in
their mobile unit in Histon High Street (outside of Tesco's) on
Wednesday 15th October 2008 from 09.00 - 18.00 hrs.

Later on they will be in Impington, outside of the Parish offices in New
Road, from 18.00 - 19.30 hrs and also on Saturday 18th October 2008 from
10.00 - 11.30 hrs.

The focus will be on the measures being taken to reduce crime,
anti-social behaviour and substance misuse in our village. The police
will be pleased to meet residents and to answer any further questions on
the work of the police in our community.

*Impington Parish Council - Want to know more?*

The Council is organising a "drop in" session at the Parish Office, at
the Histon & Impington Recreation Ground in New Road on Wednesday 15th
October from 6pm to 7.30pm. Why not drop by for coffee and biscuits to
see what we do and where we are based?

If weekdays are difficult for you, the Council will be repeating the
session on Saturday 18th October from 10am till 11.30am.

Tankers in the village*

You may have noticed large tankers being driven around the villages over
the last few days. Unfortunately, one of the main sewers has broken
where it passes through the Copse and the tankers are running to ensure
that drains do not back up or worse, sewage overflows!

Part of the Copse is also closed off - for obvious reasons - whilst the
work is completed. Its in a particularly awkward position, and therefore
mid-week is the earliest its likely to be finished. The tankers will
continue to operate, of course, until this is sorted.
