The link is interesting, but New Civil Engineer also carries another 
significant report concerning the James Rennie Award by the Institute of 
Civil Engineers to John Ely, Bam Nuttall's CGB project manager. I 
understand that part of his presentation to ICE covered the use of 
shredded tyres as infill on the guideway, a procedure now being 
challenged by the County Council in the Cabinet report. Even more 
interesting is the fact that the 2009 winner of the Rennie Award is no 
longer listed on the ICE Web Site? The second link below is the South 
Cambs.DC Report of 28th January which gives the background to the recent 
publication by the County Council.
