[hisimp-chat] Chippings done - despite the snow!

Hi,
Thanks to everyone who turned up this morning - despite the snow!
We had a very productive time in the sunshine spreading all the chipping
over the mud at the entrance to the woods. We identified all the relevant
trees so the tree surgeons can come and do their bit soon. There were plenty
of us to help so we also finished off a little stretch of dead hedging.
After tea break we were still feeling inspired by the lovely sunshine and
our efforts so we migrated to the Coppice where there was another pile of
chippings which we used to create a new footpath. Our activities kept us
lovely and warm plus it looks great where we've tidied up and made a muddy
area safe and easier to walk over - so all in all a great result!

PS. If you're coming on the walk tomorrow please bring you own flask as the
big one we usually use has decided to be temperamental! Let's hope the
weather is like today's!
