Hi Everyone,

For those of you who were at the beer festival on Friday evening you'll
already know that we've decided to meet up again at Homefield Park on
Saturday 19th at 9:30, by the main gate opposite the War Memorial.

The last working party was really successful and for once we were able to
see a job through to completion in one session! Many thanks to everyone's
hard work.

Actually we completed several tasks. The footpath is now once again free
over low over-hanging branches. These prunings were then used to build up
another section of dead hedge elsewhere in the park so another job done. We
also cleared a new woodland footpath complete with a new seating area
(created from tidying up the fallen willow) and a neatly woven Yew screen
which will help to block out some of the traffic noise and fumes. Finally we
made a good start on clearing the NE boundary fence and cleared away 3 bags
of rubbish.

This time we'll be creating another new woodland path and continue clearing
the eastern fence, plus we'll definitely have some chippings to put the
finishing touches to the new paths. If you'd like to help on the Friday too
we'll be creating the chippings at the cemetery by shredding all the
arisings from the hedge pruning the Probation Service have been doing for us
there.

As usual all tools and refreshments will be provided plus there are plenty
of different jobs to choose from.

If you live nearby and can bring a wheel barrow that would be useful.
