Hi,
I just thought you may be interested to know about this survey and that
perhaps you could help.
This is an extract from an e-mail I received about it from the Butterfly
Conservation.
"Last year the charity Butterfly Conservation ran a public survey for the
migrant Humming-bird Hawk-moth and Painted Lady butterfly. Unfortunately,
2008 was a poor year for the immigration of these and other migratory
species. Nevertheless we had an impressive 1000 sightings nationwide (
http://www.butterfly-conservation.org/text/2601/results_of_the_2008_survey.html).
We are continuing the survey throughout 2009 and the early signs are that it
will be a much better year. Painted Ladies have already been reported across
southern England."
Cheers,
Pene
