Great News!! Well done!!

 

I spoke to the Cambridgeshire Highway Authority first thing this morning and
I was told that the work in question is surface dressing. Access to
residents will be OK, they are just stopping through traffic.

 

I was told that the work on Impington Lane would take about 2 hours
.! So
that does not seem too bad. The white lining will be done a few days  later
without a road closure. I asked about the bus route but Matt was unable to
say much about that except that the Bus Company would have been told about
the closure.

Dear All

Further to my last email we have just had a phone call to say that these
road closures have now been put back a week due to the Open Gardens event.

With thanks to Councillors Dennis Payne and Matt Bradney for their help this
morning in making this happen.

And please all do support the Open Gardens Day on June 14th. To refresh
memories it was a fantastic day for the community in 2007 with over 1000
people visiting the gardens and it raised over £5000 for the 3 charities -
Histon Feast, Emmaus UK and VSO.
