You are warmly invited to a Public Meeting at Impington Village College this Wednesday 14th Jan, 7.30 - 9.15 pm, to get involved in the Greening Histon and Impington campaign.

What is "Greening Histon & Impington"?
It's a project, successfully piloted in Petersfield, Hampshire, and now running in over 50 villages in the SE, to engage and support communities to reduce their environmental impact.

How does it work?
In the first phase, there is a launch event and then householders are encouraged to commit to a number of easy and inexpensive actions which reduce their CO2 emissions. They are asked to put a branded card in their window, which makes their efforts visible and shows the community acting together. After six weeks, the cards are counted and the results publicised.

What will happen at the Public Meeting?
Terena Plowright from Petersfield will talk about the campaign running in her town. Then we will choose the actions to go on the cards, and brainstorm ideas for a community launch.

Who will be there?
We are expecting representatives from all the schools, churches, parish councils, WI, football club and various other organisations, as well as individuals who are interested in finding out more.

More info is at www.greening-campaign.co.uk. and more info about Histon & Impington Climate Change group is at www.hicca.org.uk.

Please pass this on to others who would be interested too. Thanks very much
