Re your statement that:  You choose to dismiss us "Mums" who are members of

You are conflating two separate statements/concepts here.

 

The "mums" coming out of school and the  "minority pressure group" are two
separate sets  of people, referred to separately, and so are not being
jointly "dismissed" by Steve.

 

While some of the former may  also be part of the latter the "majority of
residents at the meeting" who " were in favour of restrictions"  do not
constitute a majority of residents of  the Villages.

 

Also, as regards 'evidence', you are confusing two things again your
statistics indicate that people do drive faster than the speed limit on
B1049, but what Steve is saying is that there is no evidence that this
causes a problem.

Steve,

 

I'm not asking for 20 mph on the B1049 as your email implies. Just 30 mph
where it is currently 40 mph. Try driving at 30 mph on the B1049 at 6.00 am
and see whether it really adds significantly to the time it takes to leave
the village.
