 Hi,

Many thanks to everyone who came to help - it was great to see some new
faces too!

Despite the grass being about a metre tall, the hawthorn hedge has developed
surprisingly well - it must have been all that mulch we gave it when we
planted it last February! Needless to say we cleared it all and have also
given it a bit of a prune to encourage it to bush out sideways and
create some nice thick growth now that iyt can get some sunlight.

During our refreshment break we decided that it was time to meet up
socially, so if fancy it why don't you join us at the Red Lion Beer Festival
on Friday evening anytime after 8pm. For those of you wishing to have a meal
I belive Vic is doing food too.
