[hisimp-chat] Enviro.Volunteer's - walk, drinks and lunch, Sunday 13th

Hi,

 

The Enviro.Volunteers first got together in January 2006, so we have decided it would be a good idea to celebrate our 2nd anniversary! We will be marking the occasion with a walk around the villages finishing up in the pub for a drink and some lunch.

 

In true enviro.volunteer fashion you can join in for as long or as little time as you would like - just enough so as you can enjoy yourself! It would be lovely to see some of the faces we haven't seen for a while and to meet some new ones (don't be shy) who may want to join us in the future. Anyone is welcome and you can join in at any point along our route.

 

Initially we will be meeting up in the Clay Close Lane meadow (where it all began) at 10:30am to depart by 10:45am. There will be two routes available to our next rendezvous point which will be at about 11:30ish at the bottom of Fieldstead Road, by the pond at the bottom of the Cambridge Lee Hospital's car park. Again there will be two routes available to our next rendezvous point which will be at about 12 noon in The Copse, near The Railway Vue/Station Stores. Our final destination will then be in The Red Lion at 12:30pm for drinks followed by lunch at 1:30pm. Geoff has kindly offered to be our backup crew and will be available at all of the rendezvous points to ferry by car anyone who wants onto the next one.

 

I have already spoken with some to find out who would like to stay for the meal so I have booked a table for 16. If you would definitely like to join us for the meal, and don't think I've already counted you in, then please let me know asap (tel: 07831 361848).

 

As usual you don't need to bring anything apart from yourselves and a sense of humour; stout shoes are also a good idea as some of the routes are a little muddy!

PS. Starters & Deserts £3.75, Mains £8.75. Roast beef, Vegetarian, Salmon always available + one other roast usually chicken or pork.
