Hi Everyone,
I just thought that you might like to know that last Saturday's working
party saw the final bags of daffodils being planted alongside the wall
on the B1049 opposite Holiday Inn entrance. Many thanks to all who
helped - we'll see the reward in springtime!
This Saturday we'll be out litter picking and then spreading the Black
Gold chippings in The Copse.
Firstly there'll be two groups litter picking, Sheila's group meets at
9:30am outside the Library and the Chris's group meets at 10:00am at the
main entrance to The Coppice. If you would you like to join in to help
either group please just turn up - pickers, gloves and bags are
provided!
If litter picking is not your scene then perhaps you'd like to help
afterwards when we'll be spreading the chippings along some of the
woodland footpaths in The Copse. There are also a couple of fallen trees
which are blocking the paths which will need cutting up and stacking to
create wildlife habitat piles. Also if you have any spare canes please
bring those along and we'll make some insect nests. We'll be meeting up
after the litter picking at about 11:30am right in the middle of The
Copse where the latest pile of chippings has been deposited.
Please wear sturdy shoes; gloves would also be useful although there are
always some spare ones available.
As usual only enthusiasm and a sense of humour are needed all other
equipment and drinks will be provided.
Looking forward to seeing you there!
Cheers,
Pene
